Rhode Island Child Support Estimator

FOR REFERENCE AND ESTIMATING PURPOSES ONLY — NOT LEGAL ADVICE. Estimates are not guaranteed accurate and do not establish a support obligation. Do not use them to set, change, stop or withhold support. Only a court order controls. No attorney-client relationship is created. This tool is not an official state calculator.

Enter each parent's gross income and select whether the amount is weekly, every two weeks, twice monthly, monthly or yearly. Do the same for any qualifying expense. Ordinary household expenses are not automatically deductible. This preliminary estimator works only for certain verified schedule entries and standard parenting arrangements.

Limitations: The official July 2023 Rhode Island schedule is used only at the 12 individually verified income rows. This interim version supports only 12 individually verified schedule rows: $1,350–$1,800 in $50 increments, plus $3,000 and $3,900. Other incomes return no estimate. It will not interpolate or invent missing schedule values. Cases with unusual incomes, adjustments, parenting time, or self-support issues require attorney review. The results are illustrative and not a court determination.
